The first year of grandparent minis were a success

The first year of grandparent minis were a success! I absolutely loved seeing all the grandparents with their grandchildren and the joy it brought them. These are the sessions and memories I love to create. Meaningful keepsakes. Images to pass down from generation to generation 🤍

Isn’t it crazy how quickly time passes when you

Isn’t it crazy how quickly time passes when you have a toddler? Maybe it’s like that with any age, but there’s something about the baby/toddler years that just fly by. I miss my little babies that used to waddle around. I miss the baby gates and endless washing of bottles. The midnight rocks and feeds where time felt so slow and special. I miss the cuddles and baby giggles. We are entering a new season of first in our house as the girls are getting older, and truthfully it’s exciting and a little like a breathe of fresh air. But it’s also made me feel a little nostalgic and sad. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again...these are the days friends. Soak it all in.

Spring is officially here and I am living for ever

Spring is officially here and I am living for everything coming back to life. My schedule is full of newlyweds and newborns, families with little ones, seniors and more. I just feel so thankful. Spending this beautiful afternoon outside with the girls and praying you all can find some time to enjoy it too🤍

I heard the pitter-patter of little feet crossing

I heard the pitter-patter of little feet crossing the hall upstairs. The whole house echoes at night, so it’s no surprise I heard it. They’ve pretty much spent every second together since they were each born, you’d think they’d be sick of each other and honestly, at times they are. They are so different, yet similar in the way their heart is tender. I caught Hadley going to sleep with Addie because Addie has been scared lately at night. The act of love + kindness from little sister for older sister isn’t lost on me. It’s true what they say...there’s nothing like a sister. Even at 3 + 4. I pray they never lose this bond 🤍

I’m home from Charleston and my workshop and ref

I’m home from Charleston and my workshop and refreshed and renewed for the rest of 2021! It has shaped up to be my busiest year yet and I have a feeling it will be the last year of “busy”. I had so much time to reflect and just be present the last 5 days and I noticed how much my body relaxed and felt at ease. I had more patience with my kids. I had time to walk to get coffee and mediate and be still. Conversations with my husband and parents that weren’t rushed. Not checking my e-mail one million times a day or scrolling Instagram. It just was all so good. And I don’t want to lose that feeling of peace and calmness. I want less busy and more meaningful. Less stress and more peace. I want to be present with my girls and soak in all of them. I truly love what I do. I really do. But I’ve put it before my family for so long. Missing dance recitals and soccer practices. Missing tucking them into bed at night. Missing eating ice cream on the deck and catching fireflies. I don’t want to miss the moments I dreamed about. So here’s to being more intentional about my time. More messy hands and feet which may mean saying yes less. But I think that is just fine with me. These are the days.

Can we just talk about how pretty this momma is?! I’ve enjoyed photographing this dear family for awhile now and loved meeting sweet baby, Anna today! Amy always has the most beautiful outfits and when I saw the nursery I was so giddy inside. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, newborns are the sweetest little miracles and I’m so blessed to photograph so many of them🤍
