Booking 2020 + 2021 weddings!

Tonight was the first night I truly worked out in Tonight was the first night I truly worked out in a LONG time. I’ve been in a major funk the last year and felt zero motivation to better myself if I’m being honest. But in the New Year I committed to putting my spiritual, mental and physical health as a priority. Tonight I wanted to give up within the first 15 minutes. I wanted to quit. I wanted to just go to my desk and work or finish picking up the house. But I didn’t. I stuck it out and at the end I was so proud. Maybe you’re like me. Wanting to quit. Not knowing where to start. Or trying to find yourself again after babies. It’s so hard, mommas. It truly is. But I’m just here to remind you tonight that, one: you deserve to have 30 minutes to yourself a day to better you. And two: it’s okay to want to give up, but what’s important is that you don’t. Just start somewhere. Start small. We can do hard things...(except running a marathon because what kind of witch craft is that).

I was trying to find a picture of just me to post, but couldn’t (surprise. I hate my picture taken ) so enjoy this picture of me and the baby daddy.

THAT IS IT! Easy right? Winner will be announced Sunday, the 24th.
I was reading one of my favorite children’s book I was reading one of my favorite children’s books the other night to my girls and these few lines always stick out to me: “For never before in story or rhyme, not even once upon a time, has the world ever known a you, my friend, and it never will, not ever again...” We are each special and uniquely made. It sounds so cliche even as I type it, but how wonderfully special is that? That there will never be a you again. I hope and pray my girls always know how uniquely special they are. That they embrace their personalities and traits that make them, well...them! Happy weekend friends! 🤍
Going through some wedding photos I’ve had saved Going through some wedding photos I’ve had saved on my phone from last year and it’s making me so excited that I get to kick off my 2021 season next Saturday! I have SO many wonderful brides that are all so special and unique in their own ways. I love seeing their planning and visions comes to life the day of their wedding! I think one of the most important things a client can do is find a photographer who not only fits their style, but can become a friend through the journey! 🤍
We are 10 days into 2021 so I decided I should act We are 10 days into 2021 so I decided I should actually publish a post. The world is pretty much a dumpster fire, but people are still falling in love and babies are being born and we still have our dogs so let’s give 2021 a little credit. I’m a firm believer we are all in charge of our own happiness and that’s what I plan on pursuing this year for myself and my little family! In case you need a little cheering up, here is my first little newborn session of 2021! Give me allll the babies.
2020. WHAT. A. YEAR. But we did it! We are here. T 2020. WHAT. A. YEAR. But we did it! We are here. Tomorrow will start a new year and it always makes me feel a little nostalgic. Sure, we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to this year and a lot of plans and trips were ruined and cancelled, but what we did get was TIME. I got time with my kids. I got time with my husband. I got time with my parents and friends. Sunday dinners and bedtime stories that didn’t have to be rushed. Late night Netflix binges with my husband. Beach trips with friends that we probably wouldn’t have taken otherwise but we had the time. Time was truly the gift 2020 gave me. I needed it (maybe not in the manor it happened) but it was something I welcomed with open arms because my soul needed rest and rejuvenated and in the world we live in that’s almost impossible. I realize that not everyone got the gift of time in 2020. Our first responders have worked tirelessly to keep us all safe and healthy. Sacrificing their time. Their health. And much more. And for that I will forever be grateful. They are the true heroes of 2020 and I pray that 2021 brings them the rest 2020 brought so many of us. My hope and prayer for each one of your going into the New Year is that you truly take the time to live your life and be with those you love. Life is so precious, friends. So take the trip. Marry the girl. Have more babies. Buy your dream house. Have dinner with your parents. Do what makes you happy. I’ll be cheering you on! So from my family to yours - Happy New Year!
